How to Join MTR?

• Can anyone visit a meeting?
  No. We are an exclusive group by invitation only, by a member of our group. Each visitor is allowed two visits only before submitting an application.
• Is there a fee to join?
  Yes. There is a $50 annual fee to be a member of Money Tree Referrals. These funds go to cover the costs of the group.

Questions about membership?

• Do you allow multiple competing businesses?
  No. Only one business per category.
• What is the attendance policy?
  Each member gets 6 absences during the calendar year (these are for vacation, illness, schedule conflicts, etc.).
  
  On the 7th absence the member goes on probation and off the speaker rotation.
  
  On the 11 absence the member is removed from the group.
  
  For members in good standing (i.e., active members who are paid-up) the clock starts over 1/1. This gives everyone 10 absences to work with. 10 absences is missing up to 20% of the meetings in a year.
• Are memberships transferable to another member of my organization?
  We understand that things change and you could move to another position within your organization or move to another company. We are happy to hold your position open in the group and welcome another member of your team. However, that person will need to go through the application process.

Questions about meetings?

• What is the inclement weather policy?
  In the event of inclement weather MTR will follow Lynchburg City Schools protocol. If the schools are delayed or closed we will not meet.
• How much time do I have to speak each week?
  Our featured speakers are allowed 5 to 7 minutes. Other speakers are allowed 30 to 45 seconds.
• What is a referral?
  A referral is a qualified introduction from one group member to another. When a referral is passed everyone is encouraged to insure that the referral has been contacted and is expecting your call or contact.
